The Portuguese Cod is a recipe that unites the nobility of the Nordic fish (Salted Cod) with Mediterranean flavors, such as high-quality olive oil, olives and capsicum. It is a "must have" in every Brazilian's especial celebration.
Cooking Instructions:
Oven - From Frozen
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan forced).
- Place the foil tray on a baking tray. Do not open the foil lid.
- Place baking tray in the oven, directly onto middle rack and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
- Remove the foil lid and bake for another 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
- Remove it from the oven when the cheese is browned, the sauce is bubbling and an internal temperature of at least 75°C is reached.
- Allow to stand for 10 minutes and serve.
Oven
- Take the dish out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge for about 24 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan forced).
- Place the foil tray on a baking tray. Do not open the foil lid.
- Place baking tray in the oven, directly onto middle rack and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil lid and bake for another 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
- Remove it from the oven when the cheese is browned, the sauce is bubbling and an internal temperature of at least 75°C is reached.
- Allow to stand for 10 minutes and serve.
